Marcus Bell wins three AIPP print awards
Marcus Bell, founder and creative director of Studio Impressions, recently won three 2009 print awards presented by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. His print was made on Breathing Color's Optica One 300gsm Smooth Fine Art Paper using an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 Printer.
Bell’s AIPP awards include the Highest Scoring Print of the Year, the Highest Scoring Colour Print, and the Highest Scoring Wedding Open Print.
“What I love about photography most is communicating a story into a single image so my clients can relive that moment for many decades to come,” says Marcus.
“Optica One is the first paper I’ve ever used that lets me communicate that story into print with maximum detail, even in the deepest black. The tonal range is simply superb, providing the subtlest of tones effortlessly. Optica One allows your work to become a masterpiece to be enjoyed for a lifetime,” he adds.
With more than 200 Australian and international awards, Bell’s firm, Studio Impressions, is considered among his nation’s leading wedding and portrait studios. He has been hailed by BBC Television as “one of the top ten wedding photographers in the world.”
Bell’s accreditations include Master of Photography, Australia (Triple Master), AIPP; Master of Photography, USA, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International; and Fellow of Photography, United Kingdom, Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers.
