Konica Minolta House opens new Sydney headquarters
Konica Minolta opened its new Sydney headquarters, Konica Minolta House, in Sydney’s Macquarie Park at the end of October.
Konica Minolta’s Managing Director Hiro Kaji welcomed the Hon Maxine McKew MP, Member for Bennelong, to officially cut the ribbon. The Consul General of Japan, Nobuhito Hobo was also in attendance and lent his support to the event during a speech to guests. James Castrission, of the duo who kayaked across the Tasman Sea in 2008, was the guest speaker, describing his inspirational journey to the audience.
To symbolise the company's ongoing growth and commitment to offsetting carbon emissions resulting from the business, Konica Minolta also announced its partnership with Greenfleet, a not-for-profit organisation who will plant 200 native Australian trees from seed at a dedicated site in Victoria on the company’s behalf.
In a celebration of both the company's history and future, the building was decorated inside and out with CMYK coloured panels, Japanese origami and cherry blossom trees. Chef Hideo Dekura and his team provided decadent Japanese canapés for guests to enjoy as the proceedings unfolded.
