Aussies get published as Blurb's personalised book publishing service expands
Blurb, the creative publishing platform that allows anyone to design, publish, market and sell bookstore-quality books, announced a significant expansion of its Australian offering.
Blurb has been doing business internationally since its US launch in2006 and Europe launch in 2008, and Australia has been a strong marketfor Blurb since launch. Australians can now have access to Australian pricing, transactions in Australian dollars, reduced shipping rates on all books and enhanced customer services, including local customer events. Australian customers also have access to Blurb's Set Your Price program, which allows them to set the price of their books in the Blurb
Bookstore, and keep 100 per cent of the mark-up.
Budding publishers can use Blurb's free, award-winning BookSmart(r) software or their own software to design the book. Using Blurb's bookstore and online marketing tools, they can also market and sell their books, keeping 100 per cent of the profits. Australians can publish their own novel, photobook, cook book or anything else that takes their fancy from under $10. Blurb's social and community features also let users create and share Blurb books with their friends and colleagues with ease.
Blurb has also announced two major upgrades to its platform. Blurb BookSmart 2.0 includes many new features that give creative professionals full control in the customisation of their book layouts, down to the pixel. PDF to Book workflow gives creative professionals complete creative control to design books using the application of their choice, save the file as a PDF, and upload it directly to Blurb. PDF to Book and Blurb BookSmart 2.0 elevate the bookmaking experience and offer extended flexibility for advanced users and consumers alike.
